English River Outfitters "Designed by Veterans for Veterans"
About Us
We are a 501 © 3 charitable non-profit organization [organizational chart] established in 2008, English River Outfitters Resort is located approximately 5 miles south of Washington, Iowa. It is surrounded by Sockum Ridge Park which is 215 acres of actively managed woodlands. This multi-use area offers much for the nature lover and outdoor recreationist. Hikers, bikers, and horseback riders all frequent the Ridge. During the appropriate seasons, hunters can try their luck for deer, squirrel, or turkey. With adequate snowfall, cross-country skiers can enjoy the winter wonders of these woodlands. It is hope that our veterans, family and friends will enjoy and experience lasting memories and relationships at English River Outfitters Resort.

With over 2.5 million disabled veterans in the U.S. All of our veterans had a dream about the future, but many of those dreams got lost due to injuries suffered in the line of duty. English River Outfitters Resort is designed for our veterans with the hope that they can recapture some of those dreams that they thought were lost.
